Job Description

The National Human Rights Officer position is based in the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Maputo, Mozambique 😊. In this role, you’ll coordinate human rights activities, conduct research, analyze data, and ensure the integration of human rights considerations in various programs. You will support the implementation of strategies focused on civic engagement and protection of human rights defenders, provide technical assistance to governmental and civil society organizations, and lead capacity-building efforts 💪. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in a relevant field, at least five years of experience in human rights or related areas, and fluency in English and Portuguese.
