Job Description

The Security Coordination Officer position with the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) is based in Kabul, a non-family duty station. In this vital role, you will report to the Chief Security Officer while assisting the Principal Security Adviser in managing security operations. Your responsibilities include developing and updating the mission’s security plan, ensuring effective communication with security partners, assessing local security conditions, and managing evacuation routes and emergency resources. You will also conduct safety training, perform security inspections, and ensure proper functioning of communications systems.
