Adaptation Local Consultant
Job Description
The Adaptation Local Consultant will play a vital role in shaping Bolivia’s adaptation strategies within its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) to combat climate change. 🌎 This position involves developing key adaptation targets and indicators related to water, agriculture, and potentially new sectors such as waste and industry. The consultant will work in a hybrid model, conducting activities both remotely and at the APMT and MMAYA offices in La Paz for a duration of 6 months. With a focus on stakeholder engagement and collaborative planning, the consultant will ensure that Bolivia’s NDC is updated in line with the Paris Agreement commitments and robustly reflects national circumstances 🌿. Fluency in Spanish and English is required, along with a strong background in climate change adaptation and monitoring systems, ideally with experience in Latin America. 🌍 THE UNITED NATIONS DOES NOT CHARGE A FEE AT ANY STAGE OF THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS (APPLICATION, INTERVIEW MEETING, PROCESSING, OR TRAINING).
