The Chief of the Environmental Economic Accounts Section plays a pivotal role in the Environment Statistics and Geospatial Information Branch (ESGIB) within the Statistics Division of the UN’s Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA). This position involves providing strategic guidance on environmental economic accounting, managing diverse projects related to sustainability, and ensuring the quality of outputs from the Section. The Chief will also oversee important interactions with intergovernmental bodies and represent the UN in various meetings, all while fostering teamwork and mentoring staff.
