Job Description
The Chief of Section in the Financial Policy and Internal Controls Service (FPICS) plays a key role in the Finance Division of the UN’s Department of Management Strategy, Policy and Compliance 🌍. This position involves guiding policy development, overseeing the implementation of financial strategies, managing the section’s work program, and ensuring high-quality reporting in line with UN regulations. The Chief will lead a dedicated team, foster collaboration, and represent the organization in inter-agency meetings while ensuring compliance and effective resource management 💼. This role requires a master’s or doctorate in a relevant field, substantial experience in financial management, and fluency in English, with additional UN languages being a bonus.
