Climate Finance Specialist

Job Description

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is seeking a consultant for the position of Result of Service in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, for a duration of 12 months. This role involves providing technical expertise and strategic guidance to the Government of Ethiopia for enhancing REDD+ initiatives, building the capacity of the UN Country Team (UNCT), and accessing climate finance opportunities. You will work on establishing partnerships, supporting funding proposals, and integrating climate financing into national development plans. We are looking for someone with a strong background in climate finance, excellent communication skills, and experience engaging with diverse stakeholders. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of another UN language is a plus. 🌍💼 At least 5 years of relevant experience is needed, along with an advanced degree in related fields.
