Join us as an intern at the UN Office of the Resident Coordinator in Micronesia, located in Koror, Palau, from July 1 to August 31, 2025! ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’ผ In this full-time, unpaid position, you’ll assist in organizing UN-supported events and meetings, document activities, research initiatives, and maintain a photo bank highlighting our work with vulnerable communities. Ideal candidates should possess strong writing and communication skills, familiarity with social media, and an understanding of multicultural environments. You must be enrolled in or have completed a relevant graduate program or the final year of your bachelorโ€™s degree. Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of another UN language is a plus. ๐Ÿ“ธ๐Ÿค Ultimate result of service 1. Enhanced stakeholder engagement and collaboration through well-organized UN-supported thematic events and meetings, fostering inclusive dialogue with civil society, government, donors, and development partners. 2. Improved transparency and accountability of UN initiatives via comprehensive documentation and reporting aligned with the Cooperation Implementation Plan (CIP). 3. Increased visibility and inclusivity of UN communications, particularly among vulnerable groups such as women, youth, and persons with disabilities, through targeted research and content development. 4. Strengthened visual storytelling and advocacy by maintaining a curated photo bank that highlights the human impact of UN interventions, especially among marginalized communities. 5. Knowledge transfer and institutional learning supported by a detailed end-of-internship report, capturing key contributions, insights, and recommendations for future programming. Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Interns who are not citizens or permanent residents of the country where the internship is undertaken may be required to obtain the appropriate visa and work/employment authorization.
