Job Description

The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) is seeking an intern for a 6-month opportunity in-person in Nairobi. This role is based in the United Nations Information Service (UNIS), where you will help promote public understanding of the UN’s missions. Responsibilities include photography assignments, creating engaging visual content, drafting informative pieces, and assisting with events. Ideal candidates are enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree program (like Communications or Graphic Design), are tech-savvy, and have a passion for the UN’s work. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of another UN language is a plus. Please note that this is an unpaid intern position, and candidates must cover their own travel and living expenses. The United Nations does not charge a fee at any stage of the recruitment process (application, interview meeting, processing, or training).
