DATA SCIENTIST (South-South Cooperation)
Job Description
The Data Scientist position at the United Nations Trade and Development (UNCTAD) is a key role within the Statistics Service, reporting to the Chief of a Unit and guided by the Director. This position is focused on enhancing data collection tools and methods to support developing countries in their measurement of South-South cooperation. Responsibilities include organizing and analyzing statistical data on trade and development, collaborating with member states and stakeholders, developing statistical databases, and promoting best practices through seminars and meetings. A Master’s degree in a related field and five years of relevant experience in data science and statistics are required. Fluency in English is essential, while knowledge of French is a plus.
