Job Description

The Deputy Director will work under the guidance of the Director of OHCHR’s Global Operations Division, playing a crucial role in formulating and implementing the division’s work programs. This position entails overseeing thematic activities, ensuring timely execution of projects, and coordinating with various UN entities. The Deputy Director will lead specific work units, prepare reports for intergovernmental bodies, and maintain high-quality standards in all outputs. Additionally, this role involves engaging in humanitarian action, recruiting and developing staff, fostering teamwork, and representing the division at international meetings. Candidates should possess an advanced university degree, with at least 15 years of progressively responsible experience in human rights or related fields, preferably at the international level.
