Development Coordination Officer, Head of RCO and Strategic Planner

Job Description

As the Development Coordination Officer, Head of RCO, based in Accra, Ghana, you will play a vital role in guiding the UN Country Team in the strategic implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 🌍. You will support the UN Resident Coordinator in managing resources, fostering partnerships, and ensuring effective communication 🎯. Your responsibilities will include providing strategic direction, coordinating UN support, leading resource mobilization, and implementing innovative operational strategies 💡. You will be instrumental in overseeing the quality of the work within the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office, uniting efforts across various sectors to enhance sustainable development initiatives 🤝. A Master’s degree and at least seven years of relevant experience are required, along with fluency in English; knowledge of another UN official language is a plus 🌐.
