Job Description

Join the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) as an intern in Nairobi for six months! 🌍 In this role, you’ll support the Marine and Freshwater Branch in their mission to enhance ecosystem management and tackle climate change through communication, advocacy, and event coordination. Your tasks may include drafting materials like briefs and press releases, creating multimedia content, and promoting local engagement initiatives. Ideal candidates are currently studying or have recently graduated in relevant fields, possess strong English writing skills, and are passionate about environmental issues. Please note that this internship is unpaid and full-time. Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions. Interns who are not citizens or permanent residents of the country where the internship is undertaken, may be required to obtain the appropriate visa and work/employment authorization. Successful candidates should discuss their specific visa requirements before accepting the internship offer.
