The United Nations is seeking a skilled professional for the position of Programme Management Officer, Climate Finance Unit to enhance resilience against climate extremes 🌍 by promoting innovative, nature-based solutions that foster economic growth and create job opportunities 💼. This home-based position lasts for 6 months and involves a detailed desk study to analyze and improve the Sea-Land Logistic system in select African nations. Key tasks include data gathering, mapping logistical flows, and assessing energy infrastructure while developing guidelines to help port managers implement effective green strategies. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or PhD in a relevant field and has extensive experience in green technologies, sustainable transport, or infrastructure solutions, along with strong analytical and communication skills 📝. Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in other UN languages is an asset.
