Field Language Assistant

Job Description

The Field Language Assistant position is based in the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) and involves reporting to the Team Leader while covering various sites in the Abyei Administrative Area. Your main role will include providing clear verbal communication and interpretation between UN representatives and the local community, translating documents between Arabic, English, and Dinka dialect, and assisting with drafting correspondence and making administrative arrangements. You should be collaborative, professional, and keep up with relevant media news. A high school diploma and at least three years of interpretation/translation experience are required; fluency in English, Arabic, and Dinka is essential.
