Job Description

The Finance and Budget Officer position is based in the Trust Funds Management Section of the Office of Programme Planning, Finance and Budget at the United Nations. You will play a crucial role in managing voluntary contributions and ensuring the transparent reporting of funds across global offices. Your responsibilities include preparing and analyzing program and budget plans, monitoring expenditures, issuing appropriations, and supporting interagency financial processes. You will need to have a strong accounting background, preferably with CPA or CA certification, and at least five years of relevant experience. Fluency in English is essential, while knowledge of an additional UN language is a plus.
