Job Description

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is seeking a GEF Project Specialist to assist in managing climate change mitigation projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. This is a home-based consultancy role lasting 12 months 🌍, where you will develop and oversee projects aimed at achieving sustainable development goals by collaborating with national counterparts and stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include project design, monitoring progress, and maintaining communication with executing agencies, all while ensuring alignment with GEF guidelines and UNEP priorities. Ideal candidates will have at least five years of project management experience in climate change or environmental sectors, a related advanced degree, and fluency in English and Spanish.
