Job Description

Join UNEP as a Project Management Specialist and take on an exciting opportunity to help manage and monitor Global Environment Facility (GEF) mitigation projects in the Asia region, with a focus on countries like Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Maldives 🌏. In this role, you’ll be responsible for internalizing new projects, responding to partner queries, reviewing reports, and providing guidance to ensure projects align with GEF guidelines. You’ll work closely with executing partners and national governments while conducting research for new project proposals in climate mitigation areas like energy efficiency and electric mobility ⚡. This position is home-based and will last for 12 months, requiring strong management skills and a minimum of five years of relevant experience. Fluency in English is essential, with additional language skills being a plus 🌟.
