Job Description

As a Result of Service, you will design, develop, and publish integrated Story Maps and Geo-Web Applications focused on renewable solar energy and its societal, economic, and environmental impacts in the Arab region. 🌍 This role is hybrid and spans over 3 months, supporting ESCWA’s Development Account Project aimed at enhancing solar energy data storytelling. Your responsibilities will include conceptualizing multi-theme Story Maps, sourcing relevant spatial data, and ensuring compatibility with existing geospatial platforms like ArcGIS. A Bachelor’s degree in Natural Science, Engineering, Geography, or a related field is essential, along with relevant experience in creating web-based geospatial maps and familiarity with issues in the Arab region. Fluency in English is required, while knowledge of Arabic is desirable.
