Job Description

The Human Rights Officer position is based in the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Geneva, Switzerland, where you will play a vital role in supporting the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. šŸŒ Your responsibilities include overseeing research and documentation for the committee, evaluating international human rights instruments, and fostering collaboration with UN staff and national officials. Additionally, you’ll lead a team, provide training, and analyze data to inform decision-making. This role requires a Master’s degree or equivalent and at least seven years of relevant experience, preferably within the UN system. Proficiency in English and French is essential, and strong interpersonal skills will help you build productive partnerships.
