Job Description

The National Human Rights Officer position is located in the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) at the Regional Office for Southern Africa in Maseru, Lesotho. In this key role, you will support the implementation of a joint UN programme aimed at reducing violence and promoting sustainable peace in Lesotho. You will provide technical assistance and build capacities in human rights for various stakeholders, conduct research and analysis on human rights issues, and ensure the integration of these principles into development programs. Collaboration with national and international partners will be vital as you represent the UN at meetings and support the implementation of human rights policies. Ideal candidates should hold an advanced degree, have at least five years of relevant experience, and be fluent in English and Sesotho. 🌍🤝📜
