Job Description

The Human Rights Officer (Investigator on Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV)) will be part of the Human Rights Inquiries Branch at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, reporting to the Chief of the Investigations Support Section. This role involves researching, gathering, and analyzing information related to human rights violations, specifically focusing on sexual and gender-based violence. The investigator will conduct interviews, lead investigations, and monitor trends in violations while ensuring the protection of victims and witnesses. Collaboration with colleagues to integrate a gender perspective in all investigative stages is essential. Candidates should possess an advanced degree in relevant fields and have significant experience in human rights investigations. Fluency in English and Arabic is required. 🌍📚🔍
