Humanitarian Expert
Job Description
The Expert will play a vital role in supporting the Sanctions Committee by drafting and finalizing reports while engaging in frequent regional and international travel. This position is part of a dedicated Panel established by the Security Council, requiring strong investigative skills and substantive knowledge of sanctions related to the Central African Republic (CAR). The role involves monitoring sanctions, conducting investigations, and preparing recommendations, with an emphasis on high-quality reporting. A proven background in military science, political science, or a related field, along with ten years of relevant experience, is required. Fluency in English and French is a must, and candidates with knowledge of additional UN languages will have an advantage. šāļø The position will be home-based with travel expected, starting from September 1, 2025, for a duration of 12 months, subject to renewal and budget approval.
