Job Description
The Division for Inclusive Social Development (DISD) within the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) is seeking a motivated intern to work at UNHQ in New York for 6 months, starting on September 15, 2025. This role will involve supporting research, communication, and coordination efforts focused on youth development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 🌎. You will collaborate with the Social Affairs Officer to create policy briefs, assist in organizing the 2025 ECOSOC Youth Forum, and develop resources to enhance youth inclusion in global discussions. Ideal candidates should be near the end of their university studies or recent graduates, with proficiency in English; knowledge of a second UN language is a plus. This internship is unpaid, and all logistical costs will be the intern’s responsibility 🚀.
