Job Description

Join the United Nations as an intern in the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA), located at UNHQ 🌍! This exciting opportunity lasts for 2-6 months, where you’ll support the preparations for the Second World Summit for Social Development (WSSD2) taking place in Doha, Qatar, from November 4-6, 2025. As part of the Division for Inclusive Social Development (DISD), you will assist in promoting social inclusion and poverty eradication while engaging in tasks like summarizing meetings, creating social media content, organizing logistics, and providing analytical support. To qualify, you need to be enrolled in or have completed a graduate program or last year of a bachelor’s degree. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of other UN languages is a plus. Note that this internship is unpaid, and successful candidates must handle their own costs, including travel and accommodation.
