Job Description

Join us in New York as an intern for the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) in the Office of Intergovernmental Support and Coordination for Sustainable Development (OISC) for a 6-month opportunity! 🌍 You’ll engage in vital tasks such as researching sustainable development topics, analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, and preparing official reports and summaries for high-level meetings. This full-time, in-person position requires you to be either in the final year of your bachelor’s program or have completed a higher degree, alongside strong typing skills in English and proficiency in MS Office. 🌟 Fluency in additional UN languages is a plus! Please note that interns are not compensated, and you must manage your travel, visa, and living costs. Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions. Interns who are not citizens or permanent residents of the country where the internship is undertaken, may be required to obtain the appropriate visa and work/employment authorization.
