Intern – Political Affairs
Job Description
Join us as an intern in the African Union Partnership Unit (AUPU), where you will help foster collaboration between the United Nations and the African Union on critical matters related to peace and security in Africa. This hybrid position allows you to gain valuable experience while working from New York for an initial duration of 3 to 6 months (unpaid and full-time, 35 hours a week). You will conduct research, monitor political developments, prepare briefing materials, and participate in meetings under the guidance of a Political Affairs Officer. Ideal candidates are pursuing or have completed their graduate studies, particularly in areas related to Africa, and should be proficient in English; knowledge of French is a plus. 🌍✍️ Women are strongly encouraged to apply, and applicants must be aware that expenses related to this internship are their own.
