International Consultancy to support an upgrade of the Environmental Assessment Criteria related to IMAP Common Indicator 17 (Level B)

Job Description

As a Consultant for Environmental Assessment Criteria (EAC) in the Mediterranean region, your main focus will be to enhance the EAC related to IMAP Common Indicator 17 by analyzing ecotoxicological data specific to Mediterranean ecosystems. This six-month home-based consultancy with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) involves interpreting data to develop updated assessment criteria, collaborating with national counterparts, and preparing comprehensive reports. You will actively contribute to pollution monitoring and assessment, ensuring harmonized methodologies are applied to strengthen marine environmental policies. A background in marine or environmental science with at least five years of relevant experience, particularly in statistical data analysis and marine monitoring, is essential. Fluency in English is a must, while knowledge of French is a plus. 🌊📊
