National Consultant – Criminal Justice Expert
Job Description
The Consultant will play a vital role in the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) by delivering key reports and policies aimed at enhancing justice and equality within the Kenyan criminal justice system. Key tasks include developing a comprehensive Inception Report, conducting research and data collection to identify training needs, and drafting essential documents such as a Training and Infrastructure Needs Assessment, Gender and SGBV Policy, and Standard Operating Procedures. The consultant will work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure these outputs are validated and practical. This position is based in Nairobi, Kenya, and spans 100 working days from August 25, 2025, to March 30, 2026. The ideal candidate should possess an advanced degree in law or related fields, with at least five years of professional experience in legal affairs or criminal justice. Fluency in English is mandatory, and familiarity with the Kenyan justice sector is an asset. 🌍📚👩⚖️
