National Consultant: Criminal Justice Expert for Review and Strategic Planning of Kenya’s Justice System
Job Description
As a consultant for the National Council on the Administration of Justice (NCAJ), you will play a vital role in enhancing the effectiveness and accountability of Kenya’s criminal justice system. Your responsibilities will include developing an Inception Report with stakeholder input, conducting a detailed Situational Analysis of the 2017 Criminal Justice Sector Audit recommendations, performing a comprehensive Policy Meta-Analysis, and preparing a Strategic Action Plan to address key reform areas. This position is based in Nairobi, Kenya, with travel to focal counties, and spans 80 working days from September 1, 2025, to March 30, 2026. Ideal candidates will have a Master’s degree in a relevant field, at least five years of experience in policy analysis and institutional audits, and a strong understanding of the Kenyan justice system. Proficiency in English is essential, with knowledge of additional United Nations languages being a plus. 🌍⚖️
