Job Description
Join the United Nations as an intern with the Afghanistan Team in New York, where you will engage in important work focused on conflict prevention and resolution 🌍. This position lasts for 3 to 6 months (with the chance to extend) and allows for a mix of in-person and telecommuting work (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) 🏢💻. As an intern, you will assist in monitoring political developments, draft documents like meeting notes and briefing papers, and support meetings and communications efforts—all while honing your skills in a collaborative environment. Candidates should be graduate students or recent graduates, with a focus on international relations or human rights 🌟. Fluency in English is essential, and knowledge of additional UN languages is a bonus. Please note that this internship is unpaid, and the United Nations does not charge any fees during the recruitment process.
