Job Description
The Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) is seeking a Director for the Sub Regional Office for Northern Africa (SRO-NA) in Rabat, Morocco 🌍. This role is pivotal in steering initiatives aimed at structural transformation and fostering inclusive development, particularly by creating job opportunities for women and youth in the region, which includes Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Sudan, and Tunisia. The Director will manage diverse activities, ensuring timely execution while providing expert guidance on regional integration and socio-economic development. The position requires strong leadership and collaborative skills to coordinate with various stakeholders and support strategic objectives aligned with the 2030 Agenda and Agenda 2063 🌟. A master’s degree in economics, social sciences, or a related field, alongside 15+ years of relevant experience, including team leadership and intergovernmental process facilitation, is essential. Fluency in French is required, with knowledge of English and Arabic considered a plus 🗣️.
