The role of the Principal Legal Officer is situated within the General Legal Division of the Office of Legal Affairs at the United Nations. In this important position, you will provide comprehensive legal support for the investments of the UN Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF), overseeing a range of legal services and ensuring they meet the highest standards. You will be responsible for coordinating legal advice on complex international investments, managing external legal advisors, and ensuring compliance with organizational regulations. Additionally, you will lead a team of legal professionals, foster collaboration, and oversee administrative functions to enhance the effectiveness of the division.
