Job Description

The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) is seeking a Programme Officer to join its team in Bridgetown, Barbados. In this role, you will design, implement, and evaluate disaster risk reduction programs across the Caribbean, collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance resilience and awareness of disaster risks. You will also provide substantial support during intergovernmental processes, conduct research, manage outreach initiatives, and coordinate budget activities. Ideal candidates will have a Master’s degree in a relevant field, at least seven years of project management experience, including work in disaster risk reduction, and fluency in English, with knowledge of Spanish or French being desirable.
