Regional Consultant – E-waste management and Financing Approaches
Job Description
As a result of this consultancy for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), five Micronesian countries will receive actionable national briefs and a regional roadmap to enhance e-waste management. This role involves developing tailored financing mechanisms and regulatory templates to aid countries in implementing e-waste stewardship systems, driving policy reforms, and mobilizing resources for collection and dismantling efforts in compliance with the Basel Convention and circular economy principles. The position is remote and will last for three months, engaging directly with UNEP’s experts to deliver specific regulatory and institutional recommendations. Ideal candidates should possess an advanced degree in environmental management or related fields, demonstrate professional experience in waste management or environmental policy, and be proficient in drafting UN documents in English. 🌍💻📜
