The Rule of Law Officer position at the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) is vital for supporting the rebuilding of justice sector institutions and implementing peace agreements in Juba. Working under the guidance of the Senior Rule of Law Officer, this role involves developing strategic policies, managing budgets, providing legal advice, and fostering coordination between national authorities and international partners to enhance the rule of law and promote accountability. Ideal candidates should hold an advanced legal degree and possess at least five years of experience in justice-related roles, ideally in a transitional or post-conflict setting.
