Job Description

The Security Officer position at the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) involves supporting the daily operations of the 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) while coordinating security measures and emergency responses as needed. You will bolster the Close Protection Unit, facilitate assessments of security conditions, and maintain communication with local authorities and stakeholders. Your responsibilities also include monitoring UN personnel safety, ensuring operational equipment is functional, conducting security briefings, and assisting in developing contingency plans. A high school diploma with at least six years of relevant experience, including some in a conflict or post-conflict setting, is required. English fluency is essential.
