Job Description

The Senior Finance & Budget Officer is a key position within the Programme Planning and Budget Division at the United Nations, responsible for overseeing and managing budget and program planning processes. This role includes planning and coordinating the preparation of program plans, ensuring accurate translation of legislative mandates into budgets, analyzing budget submissions, and providing guidance on financial policies. The officer will also monitor expenditures and budget performance, offer training and advice to staff, and represent the organization in various meetings. We’re looking for someone with extensive experience in finance and budget management, especially within international organizations, who is proficient in English, with knowledge of other UN languages being a plus. 🌍💼
