Job Description

As the Senior Political Affairs Officer, you’ll be a vital part of the Eastern Africa Division, leading the Sudan Team to support the Office of the Personal Envoy of the Secretary-General. Your role involves providing strategic and technical advice, managing operations, and collaborating with various departments to address political challenges in Sudan. You’ll prepare critical briefings, coordinate key events, and foster relationships with government officials while ensuring a focus on gender equity and human rights. A master’s degree in a relevant field is needed, along with at least ten years of pertinent experience, including three years specifically in Sudan.
