Job Description

The Technical Advisor (Architecture and Urbanism) will play a key role in collaborating closely with UN-Habitat’s technical teams and reporting to the Head of the Brazil Office in vibrant Rio de Janeiro 🌆. This 7-month position involves supporting sustainable urban development projects, particularly in the city’s favelas, through program coordination, risk management, and technical guidance 🌍. You will contribute to creating environments that promote dignity and inclusivity in urban spaces by implementing best practices and aligning local initiatives with international frameworks. Applicants should hold a postgraduate degree in a relevant field and have a minimum of seven years of experience in project management related to urban or sustainable development 🏙️. Proficiency in Portuguese and English is essential, with Spanish as a bonus. Be prepared for potential travel across Brazil for project-related activities ✈️.
