AI/NLP Research Consultant – (Intersectional Bias Indexes)

Job Description

Join us as a Consultant with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) to lead groundbreaking research in Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing! 🌍 Your role will involve generating new intersectional bias indexes, creating annotated datasets, and training large language models (LLMs) to inform inclusive economic development in the Arab region. This remote position may require occasional travel to ESCWA headquarters in Beirut or other locations in the Arab region. Over the span of 12 months, you’ll collaborate closely with experts to deliver valuable insights and innovative solutions while also contributing to regional capacity building. A PhD or equivalent, alongside experience in NLP research with a focus on social bias, is essential for this impactful role. Fluency in Arabic and English is required, and knowledge of additional UN languages is a plus.
