Job Description

The Associate Information System Officer will play a pivotal role at the African Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDEP), a part of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) located in Dakar, Senegal. This position involves providing technical assistance for the design, development, and maintenance of information systems, ensuring effective desktop administration and support. Key responsibilities include creating user requirements, developing and enhancing systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and designing engaging web-based courses for learning management systems. The role demands analytical expertise, collaboration with team members, and a focus on data security and integrity. The ideal candidate holds an advanced degree in relevant fields and possesses at least two years of substantial experience in ICT and educational technologies. Fluency in English and French is essential, and a passion for transforming Africa’s development landscape through technology is a must. 🌍💻📘
