Job Description

The Aviation Safety Assistant position is based in Beni, part of the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUSCO), and reports to the Mission’s Aviation Safety Officer. This role involves supporting the implementation of the Mission Aviation Safety Programme by reviewing aviation occurrences, drafting reports, assisting with risk assessment, and coordinating emergency response plans. The assistant will also help manage aviation safety meetings, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Candidates should possess a minimum of five years of experience in air transportation or safety management, and fluency in both English and French is essential for effective communication.
