Job Description
The CCAC National Expert in Silvopastoral Systems and Spatial Analysis will play a vital role in Mexico’s agroecological livestock zone by identifying and mapping silvopastoral systems (SPS), analyzing their distribution, biomass, and potential areas for implementation, especially in degraded lands. This includes utilizing satellite imagery to support a national roadmap aimed at enhancing livestock sustainability and reducing methane emissions, aligning with Mexico’s climate commitments. The position requires field visits across various states to engage with experts and local communities. A background in agronomy, biology, or related fields, along with experience in spatial analysis, is essential. Fluency in Spanish is required, while basic English skills are a plus.
