Job Description

The Chief Civil Affairs will be based in Naqoura, South Lebanon, within the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and will report to the Deputy Head of Mission/Director of Political and Civil Affairs. This role involves shaping Civil Affairs policies, managing budgets, and leading strategic initiatives to support peacebuilding and community engagement. You will oversee a team, collaborate with key stakeholders, and ensure effective coordination and representation of the Civil Affairs component at various levels. We’re looking for someone with significant experience in Civil Affairs or related fields, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to gender equality. 🌍✨ A master’s degree in a relevant field is required, along with fluency in English and ideally knowledge of Arabic.
