Job Description

We are seeking an Associate Communications Officer to join the United Nations Resident Coordination Office (RCO) in Samoa, Apia. In this role, you’ll contribute to impactful communications strategies that inform the public about UN initiatives and help foster relationships with various stakeholders, including media outlets, government officials, and community representatives. You will be responsible for gathering insights, crafting compelling narratives, and coordinating media events to ensure effective outreach. Working closely with a dynamic team, you’ll also support crisis communication efforts and help maintain information integrity across channels. Candidates should hold an advanced degree in communications or a related field and have at least two years of experience in communications strategy development. Passion for the UN’s mission and alignment with our values is essential. 🌍✉️
