Job Description

The UN Communications Officer plays a key role in supporting the UN Resident Coordinator Office in Maputo, Mozambique, as part of a global reform initiative aimed at achieving the 2030 Agenda and Sustainable Development Goals. 🌍 The officer is responsible for developing and implementing communications strategies, fostering relationships with media and stakeholders, and creating engaging content across various platforms. This includes conducting media monitoring, drafting narratives and press materials, planning events, and serving as a spokesperson when necessary. The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree in communication or a related field, along with at least five years of relevant experience in strategic communications. Fluency in English and Portuguese is required, and knowledge of another UN language is a plus. Join us in making an impact! 🚀 THIS IS A FIXED TERM LIMITED POSITION.
