Consultant on alimony enforcement and financial abuse prevention
Job Description
The United Nations is seeking a skilled professional for the role of Result of Service in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, for a duration of 60 days. In this position, you will produce a detailed report on cases of gender-based violence (GBV) tied to financial dependence, while identifying legal gaps in the alimony enforcement framework. Your responsibilities will include conducting field visits to gather data and insights from survivors, proposing actionable policy and legal recommendations to protect victims, and collaborating with the Ombudsperson’s Institute to ensure findings are effectively communicated to stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in law or related fields, at least three years of experience in gender equality and GBV research, familiarity with Kyrgyz legislation, and excellent analytical skills. Proficiency in Russian and/or Kyrgyz is required. 🌍💼📊
