Job Description

As a consultant for the Result of Service, your role will be to assess potential volcanic risks from eruptions at Volcan de Fuego in five municipalities, focusing on probabilistic metrics such as loss exceedance curves and average annual loss. You will contribute to the establishment of early warning systems in Guatemala, aligning with UNDRR’s efforts to enhance disaster preparedness and response strategies. This position allows you to work from home, with a contract duration from August 15, 2025, to March 15, 2026. You should have a master’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of ten years of experience in risk assessment and disaster management.
