Job Description

The United Nations is looking for a dedicated Development Coordination Officer, Prevention and Peacebuilding to join the Development Operations Coordination Office in New York. In this role, you will provide essential policy and technical support aimed at advancing sustainable development, particularly in peacebuilding contexts. You will build strong partnerships across UN departments and work closely with advisors to enhance the effectiveness of conflict prevention strategies and frameworks. Your responsibilities will include producing analytical reports, engaging in interagency collaboration, and contributing to capacity-building initiatives. Candidates should have a master’s degree in a relevant field and at least seven years of experience in conflict analysis and peacebuilding. Fluency in English is essential, while knowledge of French or other UN languages is a plus.
