Job Description

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is seeking a skilled professional to enhance the drought program at the National Centre for Meteorology (NCM) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia 🌍. For a duration of 10 months, the successful candidate will collaborate with UNEP and Saudi ministries to develop and implement a robust drought analysis and seasonal prediction system 🌀. Key responsibilities include analyzing historical drought data, establishing a long-term management strategy, and conducting reviews of national drought plans. Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in relevant fields and at least 10 years of experience in disaster management or climate change 🌧️.
